Source hierarchy
For core water-quality and certification facts we prefer U.S. EPA, U.S. Geological Survey, NSF and university extension sources. Merchant pages are not used as the authority for health, safety or regulatory claims.
Calculation policy
Formulas and assumptions are published on the methodology page. When chemistry, plumbing design or health risk cannot be responsibly inferred from the user's inputs, the tool stops at a warning instead of inventing a precise recommendation.
Affiliate independence
Affiliate relationships may support the site in the future. They do not change sizing formulas, source selection or the order in which planning warnings are shown. Commercial links must be disclosed clearly before or near the recommendation that contains them.
Updates
Source-dependent guidance is reviewed when standards, public guidance or site methodology changes. Pages show a review date where freshness materially affects trust.
Scope
The site provides educational planning estimates. It does not test water, certify treatment performance, design plumbing or provide medical, engineering or legal advice.
Software-assisted drafting
Some explanatory copy and page assembly may use software-assisted drafting. That does not turn generated text into evidence: formulas and factual claims are tied to the published methodology and source list, and health/safety conclusions are intentionally not inferred where the cited evidence does not support them.
Corrections
